PIANZ promotes and protects the interests of the members of the poultry industry in New Zealand.
PIANZ represents the poultry meat processors and poultry breeding companies in New Zealand. We do this by liaising with Government and Government Departments and securing representation on Boards, Committees and Commissions constituted under Acts or Regulations of the Government of New Zealand.
Other roles of PIANZ include protecting the New Zealand industry's unique disease-free status, co-ordinating research and development relating to the industry, promoting and co-ordinating industry training, collection and circulation of technical information and statistics and general public relations (including producing and distributing industry newsletters).
We are proud members of multiple committees, including the Enteric Zoonotic Disease Research Steering Committee, the Food Safe Partnership, Biosecurity New Zealand's Avian Influenza Stakeholder's Advisory Group, and others.
